Raat kat'ti rahi Chand chalta raha,
Aatish-e-hijar main koi jalta raha,
Raat bhar chandni gungunati rahi
Raat bhar koi tanha sisakta raha,
Ashk palkon pey aa k bikhartey rahey
Naam lab pey kisi ka larazta raha,
Aaj phir raat basar ho hi gae
Aaj phir koi khud sey ulajhta raha,
